With the increasing attention to environmental protection in the world, the production of high-quality clean diesel has become the development direction of modern oil refining industry.

Sulfur is the most harmful element that increases CH and CO in diesel engine emissions, especially inhalable particulate matter (PM), so the sulfur content in diesel is particularly important to improve air pollution. According to the requirements of energy saving and emission reduction, in order to improve the quality of diesel exhaust, domestic and foreign refineries began to adopt deep processing refining processes such as hydrorefining, hydrorefining and hydrocracking in recent years to produce low-sulfur diesel with low sulfur content and low aromatics content. Reducing the sulfur content of diesel is an inevitable trend in the development of diesel at home and abroad, and the use of low sulfur or ultra-low sulfur diesel can meet the constantly updated environmental requirements. Reducing the sulfur content in diesel is also an important implementation of reducing emissions of exhaust pollutants and protecting the environment. This more environmentally friendly diesel has low sulfur content, low aromatics content, high cetane number and light distillate. The development of sulfur reduction technology such as hydrofining and hydrocracking has greatly reduced the sulfur content of diesel oil. However, while the sulfur content in diesel is reduced by various refining processes, the degree of polymerization of oxygen and nitrogen compounds and polar compounds in diesel will be greatly reduced, which will eventually lead to the decrease of diesel lubricity.

Diesel lubricity refers to the characteristics of diesel oil that can prevent the wear of diesel injection system (FIE). Oxygen compounds, nitrogen compounds, sulfur compounds and aromatic compounds in diesel oil are the main components that affect diesel lubricity. Sulfur compounds play a small role in the anti-wear of diesel oil, and even increase the wear of diesel oil, not the main components of diesel anti-wear, oxygen compounds and nitrogen compounds are the main factors affecting the lubrication of diesel oil, among which oxygen compounds have a more significant anti-wear effect, and aromatic polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons have the best anti-wear property, which are important factors affecting the lubrication of diesel oil. However, due to the widespread use of harsh hydrodesulfurization process in the production of low sulfur diesel, the content of oxygen, nitrogen compounds and polycyclic and bicyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in hydrogenated diesel is also reduced, and various refining processes will greatly reduce the content of polar substances and aromatic compounds with strong lubrication ability, so the lubricity of low sulfur diesel is greatly reduced. The use of such low sulfur diesel will cause problems such as adhesive wear, oxidation corrosion and fretting wear in the fuel injection system, which may cause premature damage to the fuel pump. Adding lubricating additives, that is, antiwear agents, to low sulfur diesel oil is the simplest and widely used method to improve diesel oil lubricity. Anti-wear agent is a non-toxic additive for improving liquid oil solubility, its chemical element composition is C, H, O, N, can be used in various grades of low-sulfur diesel, can improve the lubricity of diesel (HFRR method – that is, high-frequency reciprocating testing machine method (HFRR) evaluation of diesel lubrication performance, test standard method ISO12156-1), reduce diesel engine wear, Improve operational status. It is suitable for a variety of low sulfur diesel produced by refineries, including low sulfur diesel (LSD) and ultra-low sulfur diesel (ULSD) with sulfur content ranging from 3-5 to 350ppm from different crude oil sources. It can significantly improve diesel lubrication performance and reduce maintenance costs.

Diesel anti-wear agent is a compound lubricity improver, which is composed of polar compounds such as long chain fatty acids and derivatives and fatty acid esters, and can be dynamically adsorbed on the metal surface, generating physical adsorption film and chemical adsorption film on the metal surface, lubricating metal materials to reduce the friction coefficient and reduce the friction between metal parts during movement, so the degree of lubrication is significantly improved. The performance of the product can be replaced and superior to similar foreign products, and can handle low sulfur and ultra-low sulfur diesel oil, which is not limited by crude oil source, composition and refining process conditions.

The significant characteristics of antiwear agent are: (1) improve the lubricity of diesel oil; (2) Reduce the wear and tear of the fuel injection system, thus increasing the engine life; (3) Protect fuel tanks and pipelines from corrosion; (4) Does not affect nozzle cleaning.

The antiwear agent does not affect other characteristics of diesel oil, including low temperature flow characteristics, cetane number, storage stability, engine oil compatibility, nozzle scaling, etc. This product does not interact with other additives in diesel production. After addition, the basic performance of diesel oil is not changed, the product is non-corrosive, and its toxicity and safety prevention are similar to that of general petroleum.
