Sulfide is usually smelly, highly toxic and corrosive, which has bad influence on the crude oil gathering, processing and the quality of finished oil. Sulfide dissolved in crude oil will seriously corrode pipelines and equipment, threatening personal safety. In the process of crude oil refining, sulfide will lead to a series of problems such as equipment corrosion, catalyst inactivation, and unqualified sulfur content in finished oil.

The sulfides in petroleum are mainly divided into inorganic sulfides and organic sulfides. The inorganic sulfides are easier to be removed, while the organic sulfides require different desulfurization technologies. Desulphurizer is a chemical used to remove sulfur compounds in petroleum to improve the quality of petroleum and reduce environmental pollution and equipment corrosion. Among them, crude oil desulfurizer is an oil-soluble heterocycle compound used for chemical removal of hydrogen sulfide and mercaptan in crude oil, which produces irreversible reaction with hydrogen sulfide, the reaction speed is fast, and the increase of temperature is conducive to the removal of mercaptan.
